My current research has focussed on cross-cultural differences in shyness. I am also interested in how culture and gender influences procrastination tendencies.

I have always had, and continue to have, an interest in attributions of responsibility for victims of crimes as well as issues associated with sexual harassment. I am also interested in how culture-related personalities influence the social comparison process, and has investigated the role of publicity in reciprocity-based compliance.
